My daughter is only 14. I got a call from the principle yesterday telling me that she was caught in the boy’s bathroom making out with a young boy her age. Now, of course i want whats best for my child, i want to teach her to respect her body and be careful of the activities she allows herself to be a part of, the consequences of what might happen and what she should have done differently so she can learn from her mistakes. Im not sure about this relationship I have with this one girl. We’ve been friends for about 2 years. We’ve told each other things that we wouldn’t have told anyone else. I just think we are both sending mixed signals, but I could be wrong. But whenever we walk by each other, no matter where, when, or with whoever, we both can’t help smiling. She really likes when I walk home with her, she even told me it makes her feel safe. Earlier this year I probably blew it by telling her I had some feelings for her, and she said we should just stay friends, but Im just not understanding why she would still be sending mixed signals, it could just be me. But who knows, we really trust each other, and Im debating whether we’re really good friends, best friends, or whatever because we do flirt, but sometimes we’ll get mad at each other and not talk for a bit, and at one point we couldn’t talk to each other because it was so awkward all of a sudden. Maybe its just her way of keeping friends close? Sometimes she ignores my texts or gives me short answers but a lot of people do that to me, so maybe im annoying as heck, idk..I’ll also see her flirt with a lot of other guys, and I don’t mind it, but I do notice in class, when I kind of put my head down or look away from her, if I’m quick I can see her looking at me, but then she’ll turn back, and I know she really cares about me, and I care about her, because she doesn’t like me playing football because she’s afraid I’ll get hurt, and instead I should do swimming cause i’ll get a hot body xDDD, but seriously, I feel stuck, and don’t know what to do  *five and a half years* asked:

Its the end of the semester so she just wants to stay friends, and I have no problem with that despite me finding it difficult because i like her alot. Should we just stay friends, and then use the beginning of the next year as a fresh start? Happened to me, I visited America from Europe and had such a good time I went again the next month. At immigration control they didn’t like this and put me on search status, so every internal flight I took I was searched. Makes me scared to go back. Why would they do this? |
