Buy the Rosetta Stone set – it’s fast and easy – then use the language often so you’re engraining it to memory.

Taking a class is the best way for most people. Otherwise, pick up a dictionary and a textbook on the language. Make lots of note cards, try to find media (tv shows, movies) in the language and listen to the voices, practice speaking and thinking in the language as much as you can.

The fastest path however, is to move to a native speaking country (combined with all that others stuff)
