I have PCOS so my periods are all over the place and I dont know when my due dates for periods are. How often should I test with the ovulation strips to find out when I ovulate?

i m so so sorry for ur loss,i have pcos too since i was a child.i know how precious pregnancy is in pcos,i have myself recently conceived after fertility treatment i pray everyday for it to last till end.like u the biggest problem i faced was how to figure out when i ovulated, becz in pcos in some cycles ovulation happens in some cycles it doesn’t.then my fertility specialist told me a golden rule instructed me to follow it religiously.he said that i should start having *** from the 8th day of my cycle every alternate day from then on till i conceive.for example if u had ur periods today then u should have *** exactly on the 8th day from today every alternate day from then on.woman with pcos dont ovulate on the same time each cycle.but by following this rule u can never miss ur chance no need for any kit after this.no matter when the ovulation happens but when it does the ***** will be there.i followed this rule only 2 cycles conceived, just like he said i ovulated on 11th day of my cycle.god forbid if i had waited till the 14th day of my cycle to have *** lkike everyone used to say then i wouldn’t be pregnant today.sending tons of baby dust best wishes ur way.
I had a miscarriage Nov 28th and started using OPKs as well. They have not worked, I have gotten a positive almost every single time I have tested. I also found out that if you have PCOS you will get a lot of positives because you have a higher LH and the test picks up on it. So keep in mind that it may not work for you, if you really do have PCOS. I do not think that I have it, however I think that maybe my hormones from the MC may have been giving me a positive. I finally was able to detect ovulation last monday because for once in my life I had noticeable EWCM. So I am now 7DPO. I am currently on CD 33. I am usually around 29 days but since the MC I did not ovulate till later. Now I will have a cycle of 40 days this month. So my point to all of this is…. when you have a miscarriage your body takes a little while to get back on track. The best thing to do is start temping and watch your CM. OPK is good as well but with PCOS if you only use OPKs you could miss your O day. Also you cycles start over once your HCG reaches 0 not when you bleed. Many women think that, since that is how it is with your period, however with a MC your body does not start the cycle over until all of that hormone is out of your body, which is why it can take a little while to concieve again after a MC. All the best to you. Sorry for your loss. I have been through 2 MCs this year, one last month and one in August. I am praying for a sticky baby next time
