What’s the best way to clean a deep fat fryer?

how to clean
Sean B asked:

Someone left it on and there is oil stuck to the side and is almost impossible to get off, does anyone know of any tips off how clean is your house, or any that you just know of?

  • Isn’t any special way the clean a deep fat fryer just use soap and water and scour.

  • what i use for hard stuck on oil and grease in fryers.. is to first use hot.. almost boiling water but use about 2 cups of bleach with the water.. bleach cuts grease a separeates it and makes it sooo easy to clean

  • Is it immersible? If so, pour out the oil (I use coffee cans for this), then soak it in a sink full of hot soapy water. It may take a while for the gunk to break down. Once it’s relatively loose, use a Scotch Brite pad to scrub it. If it’s not immersible, you will have to keep plugging away at it with soapy water and a Scotch Brite pad. Hope this helps.

  • Boil some Soda Crystal up in hot water in the DF ,fryer ,then a good rinse in c,old water ,can be purchased in any supermarkets.
