It really depends on how good a friend. Anywhere between $50.00 to $100.00 if this is a really good friend (best friend you’ve known since 5th grade). If it is just an acquaintance then I would say between $30.00 and $60.00.

It really just depends on what you have available, personally, to give.

If it’s a close friend, I would say $50 to $60. But a if it’s a coworker or more casual acquaintance, then $35 would be fine.

I have a rule of thumb, how long have you known her- then go higher but usually 30-50 dollars. I once did a diaper bag with lots of nice stuff inside- I also got her something just for her- sometimes mothers feel forgotten @ the showers.

Depends on the type of friendship you have. Here is what I’ve done:

A casual friend – like a co-worker – I’ve spent about $20 – got one co-worker two packs of bottles, got another one a nice photo album.

A good friend – I’d spend $30-$40

My best friend – I spent $75 – bought her a Diaper Champ, Wipe Warmer, organizer for the changing table top, and a few little odds ends that go with it like diaper rash cream lotion.

My sister – I spent $175 – got her a travel system and a bib that says If you think I’m cute, you should see my Aunt!

Keep in mind that most people also buy a gift once the baby arrives – like an outfit or something personalized like a piggy bank or blanket.

depends on how good of a friend…anywhere between 25-50 dollars i think is normal for a ‘friend’.

Get a small clothes basket, one of the more fancier ones that they sell at Walmart for like 10.00 and fill it with useful things like diapers, pacifiers, washclothes, onsies (jumpers) and bottles, and a rattle.

*Depends how close you are to this friend. If she’s your best friend, then $50 – 75 if you can afford it. If you’re not as close to her (but she’s obviously still a friend since you’re going to her baby shower) than I would say around $25. That can get a couple of outfits or toys or a baby bath tub.

I really dont think price matters. I appreciate everyones gift no matter what the cost because some people really can’t afford to get something thats 20 dollars.. However, you shouldn’t buy a gift from the 99 cents store either! I think you should look at her registry and see what she needs. I’d get her one big thing or a few small items..

My best friends spent tons of money at mine and my sister and sister in law put in the large chunk of money to throw the party. It was really nice. However, I can’t do the same for them so I just help them a lot with babysitting, giving rides and such.

It depends on how much you actually can afford. I would if you can afford it $50. If she is really close to you and if you have extra money you can always give her something like a saving bond for the baby once that baby is here.

if she is registered pick off of that and anywhere between 30-50 dollars is good but not to showy. If she is not registered then get her a Boppy Pillow (horse shoe shaped pillow) It is the greatest thing in the world when baby comes and can be used for so many things!
