posting a link to it on here in your question would have been a good start. Ask random questions and post a link it it. Ask questions related to your business.
try posting an ad in craigslist and including your website
You write good authentic content for keywords with high demand in the first place.
You submit articles related to your homepage in article portals.
You do the same for other home pages when you feel they are no competition for you.
You look for links exchange with sites which complement yours by a service, or by similar topics.
You avoid link farms and bad neighborhood links.
You don’t try SEO tricks because you could get easily penalized by the SE.
You submit comments in forums in threats related to your home page.
You can establish a tool for others to upload content onto your site.
You do social networking like with facebook, jumble upon, diggit and many others.
You become a member in linkit.
You answer questions in Yahoo.
You list your business with Google.
You provide more content yourself for your homelpage because content is the mother of home pages.
You use video, audio and whatever is new and creates a buzz.
Sure, you can buy adwords but, here, it’s important that you know what keywords to target and how much you are willing to pay.
You can also sometimes buy other forms of advertising cheap, if lucky, but no guaranty is instant for traffic.
Perhaps I forgot some strategies.
