I tried to update my parents’ expired virus software this evening on their PC, and I managed to somehow get Contraviro on the system. Since this has happened, Windows Security Center has gone wonky and won’t switch on. I’ve tried downloading various Malware detectors that articles online had recommended, but each of them say that they found the infected files but can’t for some reason get rid of them. How do I get rid of this detestable invasion and restore my parents’ computer to the way it was?

I was just wondering how to put a password on a regular folder that holds word documents and stuff. Its just so only i am able to get into it cuz alot of people here use the same computer and i want to take the right security measures to keep my stuff from being deleted.
